The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday June 15, 2015, arraigned Ebiechina Chikeluba ( aka Lisa T. Jackson) before Justice O. A Ipaye of the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja on a 17-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence, personation, forgery and using false document. Chikeluba who met his victim on Facebook using the false identity of, Lisa T. Jackson, a United States citizen, has been making monetary demands of his victims, using varies guises.

Being an area which conducts high activities daily and also conducts the frequent passage of tankers and lorries, the people are calling on the state government to find a solution to the road problem which has become worse this raining season as another lorry fell over the weekend in the area.

A passenger, Mr. Ovuironye Mathew Dennis, travelling onboard a 6.45am Aero flight on Monday was caught while stealing about N350, 000 from a luggage belonging to an Austrian, Novotny Anton, another passenger on the flight.

Dennis, 31 with 1.65 height as captured in his temporary driver’s license and seating on flight seat No. 23C was spotted by a member of the airline’s cabin crew when he removed the Austrian’s bag from the cockpit as if he was changing his seat.

BOKO HARAM: BUHARI ORDERS RELEASE OF $21M TO MNJTF



President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the immediate release of $21 million to the Multi-National Joint Task Force’s (MNJTF), within one week to tackle the menace of Boko Haram.

The amount is part of Nigeria’s $100 million pledge to the Force.

LIONS & OTHER ANIMALS ESCAPE FROM ZOO IN GEORGIA AFTER SERIOUS FLOOD ..NOW ROAMING THE STREETS (PHOTOS)


Wild animals including lions, tigers, bears, jaguars, wolves and other animals escaped from their zoo this morning after serious flood and are currently roaming the streets of Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia (a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia). According to officials in the city capital, the flooding has killed at least 8 people and several animals in the zoo died. The ones that didn't die in the flood, which happened after a river burst its banks in central Tbilisi after hours of torrential rain, are now roaming the streets. Dozens of families are now without shelter after their homes were flooded and cars swept away. Thousands of people are currently left without water and electricity.

Some of the animals that escaped from their enclosure have been captured by security forces while the more dangerous one have been shot dead. See some photos after the cut...

MAN RECEIVES 7 STROKES OF CANE FOR STEALING 2 BAGS OF CEMENT IN ABUJA >>>


A Gudu Upper Area Court in the FCT on Thursday, June 11, 2015 sentenced one Naziti Ibrahim of no fixed address to seven strokes of the cane for stealing two bags of cement.

The judge, Alhaji Umar Kagarko, sentenced Ibrahim after he pleaded guilty and begged for leniency.

Police officials have arrested a store clerk after he was caught allegedly having sex with a prostitute in the bathroom of a convenience store.

The store manager gave the surveillance video to the police in McAllen, Texas.

From the footage, the prostitute who identified herself only as Gracie was seen stealing two crosses, a bag and a phone charger, which she subsequently took to her car without paying for them.

FUNMI IYANYA FROWNS AT NAFDAC’S BAN ON LOCAL GIN >>



Recently, the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Paul Orhii, announced the ban on the sale of local gin popularly called ‘ogogoro,’ across the country.

He precisely made the announcement on Monday, June 8, 2015, stating that not less than 38 persons were feared dead from the consumption of contaminated local gin in Ode Irele, Ondo State and Rivers State few months ago.

The G7 group of industrialized nations gave reasons, yesterday, why they have resolved to support President Muhammadu Buhari.

The G7 nations with constituency of the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom said they are backing Buhari because they, among other reasons, acknowledged “the way and manner of his emergence and the tremendous challenges faced by the government he leads, not of his making, especially in its efforts to combat the Boko Haram.”

The ban came after deaths traced to consumption of the local gin in Rivers and Ondo states.
