Cape Town - Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has labelled Jose Mourinho the best manager in the world, in what could be perceived as a veiled dig at his former boss, Arsene Wenger.
In his first season back in the English Premier League, Fabregas under the mentorship of Mourinho, recently claimed his maiden league title at Stanford Bridge.
During his entire seven-year stint at Arsenal, Fabregas had an unfruitful period where the club was unable to win any league trophy.
Chelsea clinched their fourth Premiership title in 10 years at the weekend after grabbing a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. The Blues have amassed an unassailable lead at the summit with three games to spare.
Fabregas has played an integral in the team during their league conquering campaign, and has seen first hand what makes Mourinho such a successful manager.
"I can understand the pressure he's under," Fabregas told Chelsea TV.
"He's the best manager and he has to get results and he always manages to do that.
"With any squad he's been with he's always managed to get results, to get his team to be champion and that's the sign of a real winner, a real professional."
After leaving Arsenal in 2011, the Spain international claimed the La Liga title (2012/13) and Copa del Rey (2011/12).
